Kori Collab. is a Māori social change agency interested in kaupapa which disrupts systems that don’t work, inspires innovation, unlocks indigenous voices and drives social change for whānau. Our sweet spot combines our love for play, sport & rec, our experience in both the education and health sectors, our passion for indigeneity and our joy of storytelling. We blend those skills together to form the magic that is Kori Collab.

Kori means to move, wriggle or play. It personifies people who are active, vibrant, and energetic and more importantly it gives us license to have fun and remember how to be kids again. We use a variety of tools to unleash creativity and generate the conditions for social innovation to occur, including co-design, wānanga and our favourite is through games and play.

Kori embodies movement into action. We like to collaborate with those willing to do things a little different, to shift mindsets and advance kaupapa of value to Māori. We work at a local level with schools, whānau, iwi, and community as well as collaborate with regional and national partners who are responsible for making the decisions that impact us the most.

Kori also represents a ‘movement’, a space of change and influence. One that is anchored in te taiao (environment) and draws inspiration from our traditional knowledge systems that nurtured us in the past and ensured the continuation of our whakapapa. Lived experiences sit at the core of our mahi, alongside prioritising the needs and aspirations of our future generations.
